On September 11, 2024, the "Architecting Digital Transformation Journey" seminar was held at NTUC Centre, co-organized by ATD Solution and Tech Talent AssemBly (TTAB), with support from Employment and Employability Institute (e2i) and Singapore Industrial and Services Employees' Union (SISEU). The event attracted business leaders, technology experts, and professionals focused on leveraging business architecture to drive successful digital transformation across industries.
Maxim Tint, President of TTAB, opened the seminar with an inspiring speech, sharing his personal journey in navigating digital transformation. He urged businesses to embrace bold strategies, not just in adopting new technologies but in redefining their entire business models to stay competitive in an ever-evolving marketplace.
The keynote speaker, Mr. Aaron Tan, Chief Enterprise Architect of ATD Solution, delivered a comprehensive framework on how organizations can develop a digital roadmap. He covered key steps, including assessing the business environment, understanding customer needs, and identifying critical technology gaps. Mr. Tan also highlighted the importance of business architecture in fostering innovation, emphasizing the need for workforce transformation through upskilling and reskilling employees. His insights offered attendees practical strategies to lead their organizations through the complexities of digital change.
Ms. Tan Ying Ying, Deputy Director of NTUC's Development Branch, Industry Training & Transformation Department, followed with a presentation on the Strategic Operation & Technology Roadmapping initiative. She explained how this roadmap helps businesses chart long-term strategies, including future technology needs and the critical skills required for workforce training. She also introduced the Company Training Committees (CTCs) grant, a key resource for businesses looking to transform their processes, redefine job roles, and boost productivity. This grant provides up to 70% funding for eligible project costs, supporting enterprise and workforce transformation.
The final speaker, Ms. Lee Pei Xi, Assistant Director (Modern Services) at e2i, addressed pressing manpower challenges and skills gaps affecting many industries. She introduced programmes aimed at bridging these gaps by equipping workers with the skills necessary to thrive in modern workplaces. Notably, e2i, in partnership with ATD Solution, is offering 3 months of salary funding for businesses hiring for roles like Business Analyst, Business Architect, and Solution Architect, along with an On-the-Job Training (OJT) programme provided by ATD Solution to help onboard new hires effectively.
The seminar also highlighted the numerous government funding opportunities available for businesses investing in digital capabilities. Participants left equipped with actionable strategies and a deeper understanding of how to prioritize digital initiatives using business architecture practices. The event showcased the powerful synergy between industry expertise, technology, and human capital in achieving long-term digital transformation success.
ATD Solution and TTAB are committed to continuing their efforts to guide businesses and individuals towards a brighter, digitally empowered future.
