This IASA Architecture Core course will equip participants with the foundational knowledge of being an IT Architect and provide exposure on the right skills and tools required as EA/IT Architects. Understanding of the ‘Five Foundational Pillars’ will sharpen the holistic view of thinking outside the box in decision-making process as well as in solving business and technical issues. In addition, it will provide an appreciation and understanding of the value of IT initiatives in relation to the business capabilities and the significant success values of what an Architect can bring to the organisation. The course structure consists of highly practical real life scenarios that are illustrated into 17 highly intensive workshops.
The Architect Core course is the foundation skillsets level course based on Iasa’s Business Architecture Body of Knowledge (BTABoK). Throughout this training participants will be equipped with knowledge of appropriate tools, information, terminology and practical skills required for setting up an Enterprise Architecture Office (EAO), selecting and prioritising IT projects, assigning resources, and creating values to stakeholders.
DURATION: 4 Days (9am to 5pm)
CLASS SIZE: The recommended class size for this course is a maximum of 25 participants. The minimum class size is 5 participants.
TRAINING METHODOLOGY:
A practical-oriented training approach is used in the delivery of this course, which may include the following:

· Peer Sharing (Think-Pair-Share)
· Group Discussion & Presentation
· Reflective Practice
ASSESSMENT: 75 multiple-choice questions in 150 minutes
ATTENDANCE: Meet a minimum attendance of 75%
MODE OF TRAINING: Classroom / Synchronous e-learning
PREREQUISITES: None.
Note: Successful prior completion of Business ITArchitecture Fundamentals (BITAF) shall greatly assist your progress in this course.
Certification: CITA-F (Certified Information Technology Architect Foundation level) by lasa

Participants are assumed to be able to:
· Read, write and speak English at WSQ WPL Level 6
· Manipulate numbers at WPN Level 6
· Communicate effectively and able to engage in classroom discussion
· Present effectively
Training Benefits
The participant, upon passing the exam, will earn the recognition of Iasa Foundation Certified (IFC). It is the first step in the Iasa certification path—up next is the Associate level.

FUNDING VALIDITY PERIOD: 12 July, 2021 – 11 July, 2026
ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS
- Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents, physically based in Singapore; and
- Successfully completed IBF-STS accredited course (including passing all relevant assessments and examinations).
1.2 SKILLSFUTURE CREDIT
- Singapore citizens aged 25 or above: initial S$ 1000 payable by SkillsFuture credit.
1.3 NTUC UTAP
- NTUC members enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support funding up to $500 per individual each year, capped at 50% of unfunded course fees.
- UTAP funding support extension for the period of 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2025. (2 years).
- Paid-up union membership before course commencement, throughout the whole course duration, and at the point of claim.
- Course by training provider must be supported under UTAP, and training must commence within the supported period.
- The course must not be funded through company sponsorship or other types of funding
- Member must achieve a minimum of 75% attendance for each application and sat for all prescribed examination(s), if any.
- UTAP application must be submitted within 6 months after course completion
