Dr. Ariffin Marzuki Mokhtar

Dr. Ariffin currently works as a medical lecturer at the School of Medical Sciences in USM. He is active in training and teaching of Medicine, Anesthesiology, Management of Health and Finance Systems. Dr Ariffin graduated from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) and was a Consultant Anesthesiologist at IJN. He is a Certified IT Architect- Associate (CITA-A), COBIT 5 and Open Group Architecture Framework 9.1 Certified. While he was working in IJN, he had looked after the implementation of IJN’s Enterprise Architecture initiatives, advised the IJN BOD and Management on matters pertaining to Information system Governance, best practices and supporting accreditations initiatives. His current interest apart from clinical work in Anesthesia and Critical Care, is the use of technology as an enabling tool to deliver high quality and safe care to patients including training and education of healthcare providers in using technology tools, development of clinical pathways, modeling clinical care, performance measure, healthcare organization transformation governance and management, healthcare business architecture and activity based costing and management.
